Product Description

For the dapper dandy or vintage enthusiast- here is a rare men's vest, possibly from as early as the late 1890's, through the 1910's. My research suggests it wasn't until 1913 that this label was actually used much- Inside the top left pocket is a label that reads thus: " United Garment Workers of America - General Execuitve Board ORG April 12th 1891." Has 5 Original ivory or bone buttons down the front, 4 functional pockets in front. Deep inside pocket has label of "KLING  CHICAGO." Side metal adjusters for waist sizing. Striped silk on back in a golden and tan hues. Garment has not been cleaning and I am confidant the light spotting will come out no problem. Looks like a reinforcement band at inside collar area was a repair. No noticeable holes or stains. Fabulous find!!

A NOTE to REMEMBER: A kind word about vintage items in general - they are often One of a Kind and unique items, symbols of more stylish times.... That is what makes them so much fun! But also they should be treated with respect and preservation...cause they are disappearing fast. With that said, Please keep in mind that they are just that - vintage - and unless indicated otherwise, they have an unknown history. Therefore, please don't anticipate that they will look like new unless that is specifically stated. They will likely show previous use, wear, possibly loose threads, small marks, spots etc. that is acceptable to most lovers and buyers of vintage items and are not considered flaws, but character!
I will do my best to point out any flaws and state the condition issues as thoroughly as necessary, you can be sure. Please see my long history of Ebay feedback to rest assured you will be put first!

Please also remember that pictures give a good likeness of an item, but due to differences in monitor displays and lighting variations, etc. they are not exact and some colors may appear more or less accurate. I try to provide the best quality of pictures I can but simply cannot be responsible for these differences in appearance.

Paypal is now our only accepted form of payment, but I will accept a good old-fashioned checks (Item will not be sent until it clears, of course). It is the buyers responsibility to request insurance for all items purchased and a wise thing to do. All items are shipped via USPS Priority, Standard, or First Class unless otherwise requested, whatever is the cheapest and quickest for your benefit. Item will be shipped out usually within a couple business days. You need to let me know if you need it quickly. For vintage items or new, returns are not accepted UNLESS there was a major error or misrepresentation somehow on my part (which should NOT happen). It is YOUR responsibility to read all measurements and descriptions and ask for more details if you need. Vintage is sold AS IS and as shown. If you think I am not clear about please something ASK before you buy.
